DR. BERNARD REESE – SENIOR PASTOR

BIOGRAPHY

Bishop Dr. Bernard Reese, Pastor of Framingham Church of God in Christ in Framingham, Massachusetts is a dynamic and gifted orator and educator both in the religious and secular community. A native of Queens, New York, he accepted the Lord as his Savior while in junior high school and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance while a senior in high school.

Dr. Reese is active in the Church of God in Christ locally serving as Jurisdictional Secretary of the Greater New Hampshire Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Superintendent of the Headquarters District, Jurisdictional Dean of Education and C.E. Blake Ministry Initiatives Jurisdiction Coordinator (formerly Urban Initiatives) under the leadership of Prelate Bishop Robert L. Webbs Sr. Regionally he serves as the Coordinator for Jurisdictional Secretaries in New England and is the Director of the C. H. Mason Jurisdictional Institute in New England and the State of New York.

With numerous degrees including an Ed. D. in Educational Administration, Research and Policy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Administration, a M. Ed in Mathematics Education, and a Bachelor of Theology in Christian Education from Shaw Divinity School, Dr. Reese is a retired public-school administrator and former mathematics teacher in the Worcester Public School System (Worcester, MA). He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Worcester State University (Worcester, MA)) where he teaches courses in education and mathematics. A champion for equity and social justice, he is a professional speaker and consultant for diversity and inclusion and social justice and serves on several community advisory boards.

Dr. Reese is married to Mrs. Sandra D. Reese and are the proud parents of five children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
